Engineering Manager 

The Engineering Manager is an experienced and dynamic leader. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering with experience in the HVAC industry. This person should have proven experience leading teams, projects, and collaborating with upper-level management. The Engineering Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing and guiding our engineering team to drive innovation, efficiency, and excellence in all products and processes. 

Job Duties: 

1. Leadership and Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. 
  • Provide guidance, direction, and support to team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. 
  • Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and identify opportunities for professional development.

2. Project Management

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives. 
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including product development, manufacturing, and quality assurance to drive project success.
  • Monitor project timelines and resource allocation, identifying and addressing potential risks and obstacles.

3. Technical Expertise

  • Apply deep knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and HVAC systems to provide technical guidance and solutions.
  • Review and approve engineering designs, specifications, and documentation ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, incorporating innovative approaches to enhance product performance and competitiveness. 

4. Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to streamline engineering processes and workflows, driving efficiencies and cost savings. 
  • Implement best practices and methodologies to optimize product development cycles and enhance overall engineering productivity. 
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to propose and implement innovative ideas.

5. Stakeholder Communication

  • Collaborate with internal stakes holders such as sales, marketing, and customer support to address customer needs and market demands.
  • Communicate effectively with senior management, providing regular updates on project status, performance metrics, and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of leadership experience in an engineering role, preferably within the HVAC manufacturing industry, and a total of at least 5-7 years engineering experience.
  • Strong Technical Expertise in mechanical engineering principles and HVAC systems.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing engineering teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and drive results in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
